WELCOME
Our family-run Bed and Breakfast is situated inside the defensive old fort walls of the beautiful medieval village of Issigeac, Dordogne. Built around 1290 to guard the village from invaders, we have lovingly restored this ancient fort ourselves to combine modern luxuries, such as Super King beds, high-speed WiFi, and air-conditioning in some rooms, with the historical authenticity of original beams and stonework.
Guests have access to their own dining area where they can enjoy the complimentary continental breakfast buffet, a cozy medieval bar, spacious garden with terrace and sunbeds, and a fully equipped guest kitchen where they can prepare their own meals.

Nestled in the stunning Dordogne countryside close to the vibrant tourist areas of Bergerac, the Bastides and the world-famous wine regions of the South-West, guests will find endless opportunities for dining, markets, festivals and outdoor activities of all kinds. Just steps from our gate are several world-class restaurants, antiques and craft shops, the village market, bars, a tobacconist, hiking trails and many other amenities. Our family also run a unique and fascinating clock business in the building.

Breakfast Buffet
We prepare a continental breakfast buffet made from local, fresh ingredients which guests can enjoy in their rooms, in the dining area or in the garden.

There is a large, beautifully appointed garden with covered terrace, lawn and sunbeds available for guests to use

We have great Wifi access from all areas of the B&B boasting super-fast connection speeds. This is included free of charge with room rental
Guest Kitchen Diner
The guests can use the fully equipped kitchen with refrigerator, induction hob, microwave, sink and all utensils, for preparing their own meals. This is situated on the same floor as the guest bedrooms.
Medieval Bar
On the ground floor adjacent to the garden we have created a cozy medieval-themed bar area including another fully-equipped kitchen, microwave, refrigerator and sink. This is available for guests to use.
Bicycles and Trails
Starting right in front of our gate is a huge network of marked hiking and walking trails for exploring the beautiful countryside surrounding the village. We also have some bicycles available for rental-please inquire about availability when booking.
